Brian is one of those people you could talk to for hours and never run out of new things to think about. This graduating UCSD Senior has an easy laugh, intriguing insight into political narratives and histories, a repertoire of unique experiences, and an air of witty mischeviousness. Our shoot ended up morphing into one great, evolving conversation punctuated by frequent stops to actually do work and take pictures.
As a fellow tourguide, I'd known Brian existed and that he was off doing interesting things in Europe and D.C., but we'd never gotten the chance to really hang out or talk. So from recounting our adventures around the world, sharing insights into political resposnes to humanitarian crises, to laughing about past tour guide antics, we had plenty to catch up about. Brian was patient with my countless "Wait! One more!"s, an endless supply of reddit trivia, and there were a few rare instances of the elusive bat-man.
As we tromped around campus in search of everything iconic, he mentioned one of his favorite quotes by Harun Yahya: "I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth, then I ask myself the same question."
No worries here, this graduate has plenty of places to go, people to see, and things to do. Watch out world, Brian's on the move.
Great quote, great photography.
